The 3510 CD player builds upon the strengths of the smaller XMCD - retaining the top-loading disc mechanism sporting a similar sliding lid and magnetic clamp - but featuring dual mono PCM1704 24-bit DACs , with fully discrete audio output circuitry and multiple stages of supply regulation.
There’s a large toroidal power transformer with separate windings for the CD transport and audio stages, along with a high-stability crystal clock reference to ensure low jitter.
